AI education this week looks less like orientation and more like use training. Across a small but meaningful cluster of sources, the live question is not whether clinicians have heard of these tools, but whether they are being taught how to use them competently; the caveat is that most of the support still comes from one expert conversation arc, with only limited independent clinician corroboration.
Across this week’s sources, the notable turn was not another debate about AI policy or trust. It was a more practical claim: clinicians perform differently depending on whether they know how to work with these systems—how to frame a question, what context to include, where to pause and verify, and where AI belongs in the task sequence. For CME providers, that changes the educational target. Sessions that explain what an LLM is or where AI might fit are not the same as training clinicians to use it well. If the more durable value lies in collaboration habits rather than a specific model snapshot, then the product starts to look more like supervised practice: case-based prompting, output checking, comparison against clinician judgment, and explicit rules for when to escalate or ignore the tool.
